FAQs

We get it. Going raw throws up lots of questions. So we’ve got lots of answers.

Absolutely! But make sure you choose high-quality ingredients (ahem… like ours) and store and handle it safely. To make sure your dog’s getting exactly what they need nutrition-wise – especially if they’ve got health issues – chat to a vet or a veterinary nutritionist.

Get government advice on how to handle raw food here.

Introduce your dog to it gradually, replacing a small amount of their current food with raw food and increasing it over the course of a week. Keep an eye on how they react as you go.

Here’s how you could do it:

Day 1: Replace a fifth of their food with Wild Pack.

Day 2: Replace a quarter.

Day 3: Replace a third.

Day 4: Replace half.

Day 5: Replace two thirds.

Day 6: Replace three quarters.

Day 7: Their bowls should now be 100% raw. Welcome to the Wild Pack.

That depends on the dog. Things like age, weight, how active they are and overall health all affect the amount they should get. We recommend feeding your dog between 2-3% of their body weight each day, split out into however they like eat it.

But just like humans, this amount can change depending on their needs. If they’re a little on the chonky side and need to drop a few pounds, you may want to reduce their intake slightly and vice versa. If your dog has weight problems, chat to a vet or veterinary nutritionist to find out their appropriate portion size.

Our click-clack containers make it safe to store Wild Pack in the fridge or freezer next to human food, but we always advise to do it carefully. Make sure they’re fully sealed and sitting flat on the bottom shelf of the fridge, or in a separate compartment of the freezer to prevent cross-contamination.

Our bright colours make it easy to spot your dog’s food, even when the outer cardboard sleeves are removed. The containers are also clearly marked with the flavour, best before date and batch number.

We also recommend regularly cleaning and sanitising your fridge or freezer, especially after storing raw dog food. This helps reduce the risk of bacterial contamination and keeps your food safe to eat.

With any raw food, there’s a potential risk of bacterial infections, nutritional imbalances, choking and potential harm from bones. But raw diets are natural for dogs and if you have any worries at all, speak to your vet or a veterinary nutritionist.

Our Wild Pack raw recipes are complete and balanced, which means they contain all the nutrients your dog needs. There shouldn’t be a need for anything else, unless there’s something specific you want your dog to eat more of.

All our ingredients are proudly sourced from the UK.

No. Puppy portions are different to adult portions and depend on age rather than weight:

Yes. It’s perfectly fine for them to eat the Beef & Chicken puppy meal.

The minimum order quantity is 6kg.

Of course. You’re free to cancel whenever you like. We’re a pack, not a cult!

That’s okay! DPD will just leave your order in a safe place. Our insulation padding means it’ll stay fresh and frozen until you get home later that day.

If you order before 12pm, your food will arrive the next day. If you order after 12pm, your food will arrive in two days.

Almost all our packaging is fully recyclable. It’s just the insulation padding in our delivery boxes that isn’t, which prevents the products from thawing out. But don’t worry: we’re working towards being 100% recyclable very soon!

As always, it depends on the dog. This table shows you roughly what it’ll cost to feed them Wild Pack per day and per month, based on 2-3% of their weight.

Raw food is what dogs were born to eat. It's a type of diet that includes raw, uncooked meat, bones, organs and vegetables. Sometimes it includes fruits and supplements, too.

The list goes on and on... improved digestion, healthier coats and skin, more energy, a stronger immune system, better teeth, better breath, less stinky sh*ts and the power of flight. Okay, we made that last one up.

If your dog’s got health issues, chat to your vet or veterinary nutritionist to find out if raw food’s appropriate for them.

Just like our Wild Pack recipes, a well-balanced raw food diet should include high-quality protein sources, organ meats, vegetables and some fruits.

Not just yet, but we’re working on it. We want to bring fresh food to everyone’s doorsteps, but right now we don’t deliver to these areas. Bear with us though, we’re on it.

Badger was completely unphased by meal times before I switched him over to Wild Pack from kibble. He gets so excited now when he sees the tub, that I've had to get him a slow feeder bowl so he doesn't inhale it all in two minutes!!

Tarka has always eaten raw but she's usually quite fussy on flavours. All six Wild Pack recipes were a big hit with her though. And as the one who dishes it out, I love it too. Far less smelly and much easier to serve than any of the other brands we've tried!
