HOW DO I SWITCH TO RAW FEEDING?

When you buy your trial box, we'll email you all the information you need to switch over to raw.

 

We recommend that you introduce your dog to it gradually, replacing a small amount of their current food with raw food and increasing it over the course of a week. Keep an eye on how they react as you go.

 

Here’s how you could do it:

Day 1: Replace a fifth of their food with Wild Pack.

Day 2: Replace a quarter.

Day 3: Replace a third.

Day 4: Replace half.

Day 5: Replace two thirds.

Day 6: Replace three quarters.

Day 7: Their bowls should now be 100% raw. Welcome to the Wild Pack. 

HOW MUCH RAW SHOULD I FEED MY DOG?

Things like age, weight, how active they are and overall health all affect the amount they should get. We recommend feeding your dog between 2-3% of their body weight each day, split out into however they like eat it.

 

But just like humans, this amount can change depending on their needs. If they’re a little on the chonky side and need to drop a few pounds, you may want to reduce their intake slightly and vice versa. If your dog has weight problems, chat to a vet or veterinary nutritionist to find out their appropriate portion size.

DOES WiLD PACK'S RAW FOOD ARRIVE FROZEN

Our click-clack containers make it safe to store Wild Pack in the fridge or freezer next to human food, but we always advise to do it carefully. Make sure they’re fully sealed and sitting flat on the bottom shelf of the fridge, or in a separate compartment of the freezer to prevent cross-contamination.

 

Our bright colours make it easy to spot your dog’s food, even when the outer cardboard sleeves are removed. The containers are also clearly marked with the flavour, best before date and batch number.

 

We also recommend regularly cleaning and sanitising your fridge or freezer, especially after storing raw dog food. This helps reduce the risk of bacterial contamination and keeps your food safe to eat.

HOW DO I STORE THE RAW FOOD

Your pups raw food should be kept in the same way you would otherwise store chicken or beef: in a freezer, securely packaged.

Make sure to tightly re-seal the packaging after each serving and place it in a refrigerated area to keep it fresh.

Tip: Don't forget to get the food out of the freezer, ideally 24 hours before it needs to be served.

WHAT IF I'M NOT IN WHEN MY PACKAGE ARRIVES?

That’s okay! DPD will just leave your order in a safe place. Our insulation padding means it’ll stay fresh and frozen until you get home later that day.
